Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Law Clerk or Paralegal studies.
• At least 5 years' civil litigation experience.
• Strong understanding of Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ACL and LEAP would be an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Professional, positive and collaborative approach.
• ILCO certification and/or LSO Paralegal License are assets.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, assembling and organizing legal documents including pleadings, discovery and affidavits of documents.
• Preparing trial briefs, exhibits and motions as required.
• Filing court documents in compliance with procedural rules.
• Maintaining electronic document files and correspondence.
• Managing crucial dates, deadlines and calendars.
• Liaise with clients, court staff, and other legal professionals as directed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
