Qualifications

• CET designation and/or recent completion of an undergraduate civil engineering degree program
• Strong AutoCAD abilities and experience with Civil 3D (minimum 2 years)
• Highly motivated, organized, and able to work well independently
• Proven ability to solve problems and to communicate ideas clearly in a technical and non-technical manner, both written and verbally

Responsibilities

• Work with AutoCAD, supporting the drawing needs of our project managers and coordinators
• Prepare as-constructed drawings based on information provided by the site inspector for submission to the municipalities and conservation authorities
• Complete earthwork quantity verifications for contractor payment requests for topsoil, cut/fill, heat maps and other quantities
• Measure quantities (sewer, retaining walls, roads) in AutoCAD for tenders and payment requests
• Review contractor submitted gps asbuilts to confirm status & deficiencies (roads, irons, grading, earthworks)
• Compile Unit rates from all PMs during the tender process and update existing spreadsheet
• Update Plan and profile drawings for municipal submission
• Trench rock takeoffs including (Mainline, LID, CBMH/CBS, Laterals)
• Attend grading meetings as necessary with contractor & client to confirm status of work/scope. (grading, sod, repairs)
• Monitor and track asbuilt submissions from contractor
• Assist with monitoring and tracking asbuilt information on all active SWM ponds up to final assumption
• Supporting PM/PCs with day-to-day CAD needs
• Prepare written communications, such as emails, mark-ups or sketches to aid in coordinating the subdivision design with external project professionals
• Review DSEL Drawing set & Shop drawings for errors
• Coordinate and review designs from various utility agencies
• Prepare Composite Utility Plans (CUP) to review interaction between various utility designs, civil servicing, grading, etc.
• Communicate conflicts/discrepancies with all stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure conformance between various designs
