Hirematic Talent Solutions in Brampton, ON is seeking a Senior Cisco Secure Access / Secure DNS Consultant for a 6–12 month hybrid contract. The role pays CAD 50–55 per hour and requires strong enterprise networking and DNS security expertise.

You will review customer architectures, configure Cisco Secure Access and Umbrella, implement DNS security policies, and lead policy rollout across deployments while ensuring operational readiness and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of network security implementation experience.
• Hands-on with Cisco Secure Access and Cisco Umbrella.
• Strong DNS Security and DNS policy discipline.
• Experience with SSE and Zero Trust architectures.
• Solid TCP/IP, VPN, and proxy knowledge.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Review customer architecture, security, and operational requirements
• Validate solution design and deployment approaches
• Configure Cisco Secure Access / Cisco Umbrella, Secure DNS policies, and security profiles
• Implement and manage DNS security configurations and policy enforcement rules
• Lead endpoint onboarding and security policy rollout activities
• Troubleshoot security, policy, connectivity, and DNS-related issues
• Support functional validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Provide operational readiness guidance and knowledge transfer
• Support post-deployment stabilization and hypercare activities
• Develop and maintain implementation, configuration, and operational documentation

Essential Skills:

• 5+ years of network security implementation experience
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Secure Access / Cisco Umbrella
• Strong experience with Secure DNS and DNS Security
• Experience with Secure Service Edge (SSE) and Zero Trust Security
• Strong understanding of DNS protocols and architecture
• Strong enterprise networking knowledge
• Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, VPNs, and Proxies
• Strong understanding of security policy design and enforcement
• Experience supporting enterprise deployments and production rollouts
• Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills
