Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. in Brampton, ON, is seeking a Senior Cisco Secure Access / Secure DNS Consultant to lead the implementation, configuration, validation, troubleshooting, and readiness of Cisco Secure Access, Umbrella, DNS Security, SSE, and Zero Trust solutions in enterprise environments.

You will review architectures, design deployment approaches, configure policies, onboard endpoints, and guide knowledge transfer while ensuring production readiness and hypercare.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of network security implementation experience.
• Hands-on with Cisco Secure Access, Cisco Umbrella, Secure DNS/DNS Security, SSE, and Zero Trust Security.
• Strong understanding of DNS protocols, enterprise networking, TCP/IP, DHCP, VPNs, proxies and security policy design.

Responsibilities

• Review customer architecture, security and operational requirements.
• Validate solution design and deployment approaches.
• Configure Cisco Secure Access / Secure DNS policies and security profiles.
• Implement and manage DNS security configurations and policy enforcement rules.
• Lead endpoint onboarding and policy rollout; support UAT and testing.
• Provide operational readiness guidance and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Support post-deployment stabilization and hypercare activities.

Role Overview

The Senior Cisco Secure Access / Secure DNS Consultant will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, validation, troubleshooting, and operational readiness of Cisco Secure Access, Cisco Umbrella, Secure DNS, DNS Security, Secure Service Edge (SSE), and Zero Trust Security solutions within enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer-provided architecture, security, and operational requirements.
• Validate solution design and deployment approaches.
• Configure Cisco Secure Access / Secure DNS policies and security profiles.
• Implement and manage DNS security configurations and policy enforcement rules.
• Lead deployment activities for endpoint onboarding and security policy rollout.
• Troubleshoot security, policy, connectivity, and DNS-related issues during implementation and testing.
• Support functional validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Provide operational readiness guidance and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Support post-deployment stabilization and hypercare activities.
• Develop and maintain:
  • Implementation documentation
  • Configuration documentation
  • Operational procedures
  • Knowledge-transfer materials
• Collaborate with customer network, security, infrastructure, and operations teams throughout deployment.
• Ensure security policies and configurations align with enterprise requirements and Zero Trust principles.
