Job summary

McNairn Packaging in Whitby, Ontario is seeking a full-time Packaging Operator to operate and tend packaging equipment, ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role includes following Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP policies, with training provided and shift premiums on a rotating schedule (Days, Afternoons, Nights).

Wages start at CAD 23.85 per hour with guaranteed increases; candidates with packaging or paper converting experience are preferred but not required.

Shift Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating every two weeks:
  • Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Afternoons: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Nights: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Follow Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, and manufacturing policies

Where we\'re looking for:

• Food packaging or paper converting experience preferred, not required
• Knowledge of Food Safety, GMPs, and HACCP
• Strong communication, multi-tasking, and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work rotating/weekend shifts

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Must be able to keep pace with converting equipment, while standing, bending, gripping, reaching, and lifting on a regular basis throughout the shift
• Ability to safely lift, push and pull heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
