Job summary

Wascana in Prince Albert is seeking dynamic individuals for a permanent position as Children\'s Service Workers to provide protective, preventative and support services to children and families.

You will use the P.R.I.D.E. model and The Family Centered Case Management Model to guide practice and service delivery.

This role emphasizes collaboration with First Nation and Métis communities and is designed to improve the well-being and safety of children and families in the region.

  • Develop and maintain open, honest working relationships and encourage teamwork with clients, foster families, biological families, collateral agencies, and colleagues within the unit and community.
  • Plan for children requiring long-term care, often in cooperation with First Nation Child and Family Service agencies.
  • Apply knowledge of multicultural beliefs and values, with particular emphasis on First Nations and Metis perspectives.
  • Apply understanding of poverty, systemic barriers, and socio-economic issues and their impact on individuals and families.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure access to services and resources, remove barriers to independence, and promote overall well-being.

Job description

The Opportunity:

We are looking for dynamic individuals who are devoted to helping others and improving the lives and well-being of children and families to join our team as Children's Service Workers to fill a permanent position in the Prince Albert Office. In this role, you will provide a range of services designed to provide protective, preventative and support services to children and their families using P.R.I.D.E. model and The Family Centered Case Management Model of practice.

In this position you will:

  • Develop and maintain open, honest working relationships and encourage teamwork with clients, foster families, biological families, collateral agencies, and colleagues within the unit and community.
