Job summary

Compass is seeking a dedicated Child and Youth Worker (CYW) to deliver culturally responsive care for children and youth in home, school, and community settings in Sudbury, Ontario. The CYW collaborates with clinicians and partners to promote safety, well-being, and positive outcomes.

The role includes working with youth in the Step Up, Step Down live-in program, supporting families, and mentoring students on placement while adhering to Compass policies and community standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in a computerized environment, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Bilingual (English/French) required.
• CPI certification will be required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and record the behaviour of children and caretakers in home, school and community settings to help inform the clinical treatment plan.
• Work with Clinician or Psychology Service to meet behavioural management needs.
• Deliver life and social skills training and coaching to children, youth and caregivers.
• Record pertinent data in client files as per Compass policy.
• Participate in Compass’s multi-disciplinary team.
• Provide information and skill development to parents/caregivers and community groups.
