This position works across our children’s programs, supporting our youngest members ages 0–6 through to juniors ages 7–12, based on program needs. The role includes shifts in our Penguin Club Baby-to-6 yrs, in our Afternoon Zone Program (ages 3–8 yrs), and supporting our school-age programs (ages 7 - 12yrs).
A key focus will be leading engaging PD Day and school break programs for children ages 7–12. We are looking for someone who is energetic, takes initiative, gets involved, and builds positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.

Hours may include daytime and evening shifts depending on program needs.
Work across children’s programs and age groups from 0–12 as needed.
Plan and lead engaging PD Day and school break programs for ages 7–12.
Create and lead age-appropriate activities including games, sports, crafts, STEM, outdoor play, and group activities.
Assist in the Penguin Club, our childcare drop in centre for babies to 6 year old children.
Support the Afternoon Zone Program (ages 3–8) and the Kids Zone area (ages 7-12 yrs), leading crafts, games, and homework support.
Actively participate and engage with children during activities and play.
Provide attentive supervision and maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
Build positive relationships and communicate professionally with children, parents, caregivers, and team members.
Take initiative and jump in where support is needed.
Follow Club policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
Alberta Child Care Level 1 certification required, level 2 is an asset.
Experience working with children across different age groups is a required.
Energetic, caring, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with children.
Creative and confident planning and leading activities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, responsible, flexible, and comfortable working across different programs.
A hands-on team player who takes initiative and gets involved.
Available for daytime and/or evening shifts based on program needs.
