Job summary

Sandy Bay Child & Family Services in Winnipeg, Manitoba seeks a dedicated social services professional to support children, youth, families and community by counselling, therapy and resource provision.

You will perform case management, prepare reports, plan assistive programs, advocate for clients, and build positive relations within the Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation. Travel and compliance with welfare acts are expected.

Qualifications

• B.S.W., B.A., or Child and Family Services Diploma or equivalent education.
• Registration with MCSW or eligibility to register.

Responsibilities

• Regular client contact and case management.
• Ensuring proper reports and documentation are completed and submitted promptly.
• Report writing and case planning as may be required.
• Provide unit staff and supervisor with updates and reports as required.
• Build positive community and public relations.
• Plan assistive programs for clients.
• Act as an advocate for client groups within the community.
• Other duties shall be assigned as required.

Education

B.S.W., B.A., or Child and Family Services Diploma and/or equivalent education in a related field of study.

Registered with Manitoba College of Social Workers (MCSW) or eligible to be registered.
