Job summary

The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is seeking a Child Care Supply worker to support early childhood programming in Alliston, Beeton and Tottenham. This casual, as-needed role focuses on safety, caregiving, and play-based learning for groups up to 15 children.

You will provide personal care, engage with children, maintain supervision, and communicate with families and staff. Required: 18+ years, First Aid/CPR, Vulnerable Sector Check, and up-to-date immunizations; availability for open/close shifts;

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Hold current First Aid and CPR (Level C) or complete within 90 days.
• Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
• Immunizations up-to-date per local health guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to children, including toileting/diaper changing, first aid, and medication administration.
• Supervise groups of up to 15 children with safety.
• Plan and implement play-based learning per YMCA Curriculum.
• Communicate professionally with families, staff and volunteers.
• Provide inclusive environment supporting children with additional needs.
• Adhere to schedule to maintain ratios and notify supervisor of changes.
• Demonstrate flexibility with routines and schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
