Job summary

YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is seeking a casual Child Care Supply role in Wasaga Beach and Stayner areas. You will provide personal care, supervise groups of children, and implement play-based learning according to the YMCA Curriculum.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with current First Aid/CPR certification or completion within 90 days, and a valid Vulnerable Sector Check. Availability for multiple shifts is required, including mornings and afternoons, with a strong emphasis on safety and family

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+
• Current Standard/Intermediate First Aid and CPR (or certification within 90 days)
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
• Up-to-date immunizations or equivalent per local health rules

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to children including toileting/diaper changes and first aid
• Ensure supervision in a group setting up to 15 children
• Plan and implement play-based learning per YMCA Curriculum
• Communicate professionally with families, staff and volunteers
• Support inclusive environments for children with exceptional behaviours or needs
• Adhere to schedule and maintain ratio, providing notice for changes
• Demonstrate flexibility with routines and schedules
• Other duties as assigned
