Job summary

The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is seeking a casual Child Care Supply to join our professional team across Alliston, Beeton and Tottenham. You will provide personal care, monitor safety, and deliver play-based learning under the YMCA Curriculum while maintaining strong communication with families and staff.

Candidates must be 18+, have First Aid/CPR (Level C) or complete within 90 days, be immunized per health guidelines, and be available for regular openings/closures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Current Standard/Intermediate First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification OR completion within 90 days.
• Up-to-date immunizations or equivalent per local health guidelines and Child Care Act.
• Required availability: ongoing for various shift patterns including mornings, afternoons, and occasional weekends.
• Passion for working with children and providing quality play-based learning.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 20 kg, and participate in physical activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to children, including toileting/diaper changes and monitoring health needs.
• Ensure supervision and safety of children in groups up to 15.
• Plan and implement play-based learning aligned with YMCA Curriculum.
• Maintain positive, professional communication with families, staff and volunteers.
• Provide an inclusive environment supporting children with exceptional behaviours and needs.
• Adhere to schedules to maintain ratios and communicate changes to supervisor.
