Job summary

Touchwood Child and Family Services Inc. seeks two dedicated individuals for work at the Emergency Receiving Home located on the Muskowekwan First Nation.

Primary duties include monitoring children during day shifts and ensuring accurate care plan documentation while maintaining strong liaison with external partners. Applicants should have a Youth Care Worker Diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and 2 years of experience, plus an Early Childhood certificate or related background.

Qualifications

• Youth Care Worker Diploma or equivalent required.
• Or a combination of education, training and 2 years experience.
• Early Childhood certificate or combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Grade 12 and 3 years experience in an Early Childhood residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor children on a regular basis during the Day shift.
• Record information required for individual care plans and case work activities for each child.
• Implement program policies and operating standards approved by TCFS Inc.
• Maintain positive relationships with external partners involved in the lives of the children in care.
• Adhere to TCFS Inc. policy and procedures manuals.
• Attend staff meetings, training and workshops.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or designate.

Education

Youth Care Worker Diploma

Combination of education, training and 2 years experience

Early Childhood certificate

Grade 12 and 3 years experience in an Early Childhood residential setting

The Touchwood Child & Family Services Inc, is seeking two highly motivated individuals to join our team at our Emergency Receiving Home located on the Muskowekwan First Nation.

Main Duties include:

• Monitor children on a regular basis throughout the Day shift.
• Primary responsibility for timely, accurate and complete recording of information required for individual care plans and case work activities for each child during their time in the facility.
• Implement program policies and operating standards that conform to the principles of best practice approved by TCFS Inc. maintain knowledge of the program and practice standards approved by the TCFS Board of Directors
• Maintain an effective and positive relationship between the program and external partners involved in the lives of the children in care.
• Adhere to all TCFS Inc. policy & procedure manuals
• Attendance at staff meetings, training and workshops
• Other duties as requested by immediate supervisor or designate

Education:

• Youth Care Worker Diploma
