Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Sage Hill, AB is seeking a Centre Manager to lead daily operations of the childcare centre, oversee staff recruitment and development, implement policies, ensure child safety, hygiene, and licensing compliance.

You will manage payroll and finance tasks, communicate with families, uphold provincial regulations, and spearhead training for all staff. A B.Ed. or ECE Level 3, licensing knowledge, and CPR/First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of licensing and accreditation regulations
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial management
• Up-to-date immunization and health assessment requirements as per local health authority
• CPR/First Aid certification required

Responsibilities

• Managing the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and province licensing.
• Ensuring that all staff understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Managing administrative tasks such as processing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general communications.
• Understanding and enforcing all province regulations within the building.
• Implementing and ensuring completion of training for all staff members.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• B.Ed. with a focus on Early Childhood OR Early Childhood Educator Level 3 Certification
• Demonstrated knowledge of licensing and accreditation regulations
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial management
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Up to date immunization and Health Assessment as per the local Ministry of Health Requirements
• CPR/First Aid Certificate
