Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Seasonal, part-time employee for weekends at Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario. You will greet guests, assist with childcare activities for children, supervise programs indoors, and help maintain an organized space. Applicants must be 18+ and able to pass a background check.

This role is ideal for energetic, customer-focused individuals who enjoy teamwork. Compensation includes an hourly rate and access to resort benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a group environment is an asset.
• Criminal Background Check (Vulnerable Sector Search) required.
• Applicants 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and engaging all guests as they arrive.
• Develop and facilitate activities with the childcare team—arts, games, and team-building.
• Supervise children in indoor programs with attentiveness and safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and prepare materials for daily activities.
• Provide positive guidance and support to children and families.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

• Greeting and engaging all guests as they arrive.
• Working with the team of child-care attendants to develop, facilitate, and engage children in indoor, age appropriate, activity plans, including: team building exercises, creative arts and crafts, and interactive games.
• Confidently and attentively supervising children in all indoor programs.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work-space (i.e. cleaning and organizing equipment, preparing materials and equipment for daily activities and return at the end of the day).
• Providing positive guidance.
