Job summary

Creative Abilities Therapy Services is seeking a compassionate Behavioural Consultant/Therapist to provide individualized behavioural and developmental support to children and families. You will work with families, clinicians, and other professionals to understand behaviour and develop practical strategies for daily life.

Roles involve collaboration with an experienced multidisciplinary team and delivering services in home, community, and virtual settings across Calgary and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education and professional preparation appropriate to the role.
• Registration or credentials as required by profession.
• Current professional liability insurance where applicable.
• Experience with children and families.
• Knowledge of child development, behavior, and positive supports.
• Strong consultation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Documentation and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Gather information about the child’s strengths and needs.
• Conduct observations and behavioural assessments within scope.
• Develop individualized behavioural goals and strategies.
• Support positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and communication.
• Provide guidance to parents and caregivers.
• Develop practical routines and collaborative plans.
• Collaborate with Aides and multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor progress and document outcomes.
• Participate in service planning and meetings.
