Salary Range
$71,846-$115,129 Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification and experience and will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

What It Takes
The Child and Youth Care Department in the Faculty of Applied Community Studies is hiring two full-time and one part-time regular probationary faculty members to begin August 18, 2025.
The Child and Youth Care Department currently offers a part time online Diploma, an on-campus 2-year Child and Youth Care Diploma and a 4-year Bachelor of Child and Youth Care degree.
You will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress in the Child and Youth Care program. You will plan, organize and manage learning activities and resources, provide academic advice to learners and maintain high quality learner-centred instruction. Additional duties include building and taking part in community committees and initiatives, as well as active participation in department, faculty, and college-wide committees.
To be Successful in this Role you Will Need
- A Masters degree (Doctorate preferred) in Child and Youth Care or in a closely related field.
- Applicants should have experience teaching in educational settings (preferably post-secondary) or community settings (e.g. training, facilitating educational groups, etc.)
- Preferred candidate will have experience engaging in relational work with children, youth, and/or families.
- Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning, including experience with online-based platforms.
- Excellent communication & time management skills.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Ability to teach across program areas, including practicum supervision and both in-person and online course delivery.
Knowledge of Indigenous worldviews, ways of knowing, and experience working with Indigenous communities is considered an asset.
