The Opportunity :
The Chief Risk Officer, FCC is a key leadership role overseeing the FCC risk function. The responsibilities include identifying and monitoring regulatory obligations and risks related to FCC's operations, providing strategic direction for the risk management framework, policies, and processes to ensure compliance with business and regulatory standards.
This role supports FCC's growth and aims to uphold and enhance its reputation through the development of critical risk programs in collaboration with other business stakeholders.
What You Will Do :
- Lead the strategic development and communication of FCC’s Risk Framework and manage the success of the Risk Management program.
- Manage significant risk issues, including assessment, root cause analysis, communication, and remediation review.
- Develop and present regular risk reports to Senior Management, the Risk and Controls Committee, and the Audit Committee of the Board.
- Participate in cross-organizational projects to ensure operational risks are assessed properly.
- Communicate new and existing risk initiatives effectively across the organization and provide training and consultation as needed.
- Exemplify leadership and uphold people manager accountabilities, embodying Fidelity values and behaviors.
What We’re Looking For :
- University degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience in risk management and risk programs.
- Experience in compliance and back-office operations roles.
- Management experience spanning over 10 years.
- Professional designation or certification in risk management or internal control; CA designation is an asset.

- Deep knowledge of risk assessment tools, techniques, and organizational exposure management.
- Strong understanding of Canadian regulatory environment, including CIRO, OSC, and other provincial regulations.
