Reporting to the President/CEO and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction and operational resilience of Adamson Systems Engineering. The CFO will provide strategic insights and ensure the financial health of the organization. As we scale our manufacturing capabilities and deepen our global market presence, we seek a strategic, commercially savvy, and hands-on CFO to lead financial strategy, optimize performance, and enable sustainable, innovation-driven growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement strategic financial plans aligned with Adamson’s long-term goals.
2. Provide accurate financial reporting for governmental and banking stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
3. Manage budget structuring and control across departments such as research, product development, capital expenditure, operations, administration, and finance.
4. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting from product development through manufacturing to marketing and customer relations.
5. Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide oversight for a small accounting and ERP team.
6. Collaborate with ERP and IT teams to ensure data integrity and system efficiency.
7. Review, analyze, and report on workforce performance, staffing levels, and future strategies.
8. Prepare monthly analytical reports on departmental performance and KPIs, and assist in developing ERP dashboards.
9. Prepare and deliver management presentations analyzing results and forecasts.
10. Guide the ERP team to instill a cost management ethos and enhance focus on cost metrics.

What You Will Bring

• An MBA in Finance with 15+ years of progressive executive leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong expertise in corporate structuring, strategic planning, and financial management.
• Proven success in cost control, financial efficiency, and enterprise-wide budgeting and forecasting.
• Expertise in financial modeling, performance analysis, and long-term planning.
• Experience leading fundraising efforts and managing investor relations.
• Ability to integrate financial technologies such as ERP, BI, and AI to streamline reporting and decision-making.
• Knowledge of government subsidies and grant programs, including SR&ED, IRAP, and AMIC.
• Deep understanding of financial compliance, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong leadership skills with a history of building and developing high-performing teams.
• International finance experience, especially in Europe, is an asset.
