Reporting to the President/CEO and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction and operational resilience of Adamson Systems Engineering. The CFO will provide strategic insights and ensure the financial health of the organization. As we scale our manufacturing capabilities and deepen our global market presence, we seek a strategic, commercially savvy, and hands-on manufacturing experienced CFO to lead financial strategy for investment funding, optimize performance, and enable sustainable, innovation-driven growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with Adamson’s business aspirations and long-term goals.
2. Analysis and Reporting: Provide accurate financial reporting for government agencies and banks, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
3. Budget Structuring and Control: Oversee budgeting across departments such as research and product development, capital expenditure & operations, and administration & finance.
4. Financial Oversight: Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting from product development through manufacturing to marketing and customer relations.
5. Financial Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide oversight for a small accounting and ERP team.
6. Data Systems Overview: Collaborate with ERP and IT teams to ensure data integrity and system efficiency.
7. Workforce Management: Review, analyze, and report on costs, performance, staffing levels, and future strategies.
8. Monthly Analytical Reporting: Track departmental performance and KPIs, and assist in developing ERP dashboards.
9. Management Presentations: Prepare and deliver reports for management analysis and forecasting.
10. ERP Team Guidance: Promote a cost management ethos within the team and focus on key cost metrics.

What You Will Bring

1. An MBA (Finance) with 15+ years of progressive executive leadership experience.
2. At least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong command of corporate structuring, strategic planning, and financial management.
4. Proven success in cost control, financial efficiency, and enterprise-wide budgeting and forecasting.
5. Expertise in financial modeling, performance analysis, and long-term planning.
6. Experience leading fundraising efforts and managing investor relations.
7. Ability to integrate financial technologies (ERP, BI, AI) to streamline reporting and decision-making.
8. Knowledge of government subsidies and grant programs, including SR&ED, IRAP, and AMIC.
9. Deep understanding of financial compliance, governance, and regulatory frameworks.
10. Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
11. International finance experience, especially in Europe, is preferred.
