About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the senior leadership team at York Care Centre. The CFO will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the York Group of Companies while adhering to regulatory guidelines and best practices within the long-term care industry. The successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership, oversee financial operations, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization.

Responsibilities

Overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions of the company; providing supervision, support and management of the finance department; preparing annual budgets for the York Group of Companies; monitoring and conducting an analysis of the overall budget; preparing monthly financial statements and key performance indicator reports for various entities in a timely manner; developing and maintaining financial management policies, systems and processes; identifying opportunities for improved efficiencies; participating in leadership team meetings; and interacting with internal and external stakeholders and clients.

About the candidate

As the ideal candidate, you are an organized, detail-oriented person with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. You are a strategic-minded financial leader with a proven track record of driving financial performance, utilizing your analytical and problem solving skills. You have obtained your Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, (required) and have proven experience (5+ years) as a CFO or senior finance executive. You have proficiency in financial software, ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
