MFC Training is currently looking for a Chief Dispatcher to join our team in London, Ontario.

The Chief Dispatcher will be responsible for the oversight and management of Flight Dispatchers and Flight Followers, ensuring regulatory compliance and consistency within the Operations Control Centre.

Our Operations:

• MFC Training is a Transport Canadian Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO), carrying out recurring inspections, line maintenance, and heavy maintenance checks;
• MFC Training maintains a fleet of various training aircraft; and
• Offers a great learning environment touching on almost every aspect of aircraft maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee flight and ramp activities, ensuring safety while maximizing aircraft utilization per the daily schedule, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulations;
• Develop and implement Dispatch/Ramp SOPs, maintain the training program, and document completed training;
• Attend operational meetings and participate in the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee;
• Liaise with outside agencies such as airport authority, fueling contractors, and Air Traffic Services;
• Coordinate with internal departments for operational continuity, including maintenance and scheduling;
• Manage shift scheduling, work conditions, performance, and disciplinary actions;
• Oversee the Flight Operations Area / Ramp area and equipment;
• Manage the aviation fueling system, including inspections and repairs;
• Support the Safety Management System (SMS) program, including reporting, investigation, and corrective actions;
• Maintain cleanliness of workspaces, aircraft, ramp, and FOD removal;
• Hire, train, and supervise Dispatch and Ramp staff;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in the aviation industry is required;
• Ability to interpret aviation weather reports is preferred;
• Supervisory experience is an asset;
• Highly motivated with excellent communication skills;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office;
• Proven leadership skills;
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills;
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines;
• Eligibility for security clearance.
