Qualifications

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Certification in BLS and demonstrated ongoing competence through annual re-certification
  • Certification in Blood Glucose Monitoring and demonstrated continuing competence in BGM through annual recertification
  • Certification in IV Therapy with demonstrated ongoing competence
  • Proficiency with central line access and care
  • Ability to function independently and demonstrate competency in Chemotherapy Nursing Practice
  • Preference will be given to those with recent experience in acute medical/surgical, and/or oncology nursing
  • Current completion of the Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy & Biotherapy (PSCB) course through De Souza, or willingness to obtain or demonstrated ongoing competency and completion of the CCMC certification
  • Knowledge of First Nations culture an asset
  • Reliable attendance record
  • CNA certification in Oncology CON(C) an asset
