Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking Chemical Technicians to join the Brampton team. The role involves driving to customer sites to pick up, package and label chemical waste for transport, and supporting lab packing tasks.

Requirements include a university/college degree in a relevant field, a G license, and willingness to travel with occasional overnight trips. Candidates with lab, sales or industry experience are valued; safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• University or college degree in an applicable field (Chemistry, Environmental Affairs, Biology, etc).
• Valid G License is required;DZ an asset. Must be willing to drive daily with possible overnight trips.
• Experience in lab, sales or industry is an asset.
• Competent computer skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Characterize, pack and label chemical waste for transportation from customer sites to GFL facilities.
• Provide technical assistance to customers via site visits and sampling.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely following procedures and regulations.
• Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections and maintain a professional appearance.
