Job description

This position involves testing asphalt cement, emulsion, and related materials for the construction industry. Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with laboratory testing and evaluation of bituminous products for paving, coatings, and industrial applications.
2. Reviewing, analyzing, and comparing test results with specifications, tolerances, and targets to ensure product quality.
3. Reporting test results and deviations or trends immediately to the appropriate department or supervisor.
4. Assisting with setup, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory inspection, measuring, and testing equipment.
5. Documenting and reviewing quality reports and information.

Qualifications:

• Current student or graduate in chemistry, chemical engineering, civil engineering technology, or related field.
• Experience in asphalt cement, emulsion testing, or product development is an asset.
• Valid G class driver's license with a good driving record.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint are assets.
