Job summary

THE PIG Hotel on the beach in Studland, Swanage is seeking a Chef de Partie to join a vibrant, seasonally evolving kitchen. You will oversee one of four sections, work with local suppliers within a 25-mile radius, and contribute to our homegrown kitchen garden produce.

We value enthusiastic chefs who love fast-paced work and sharing knowledge. The role includes mentoring apprentices and enjoying the personal, hands-on cooking style that THE PIG is known for.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role preferred.
• Passion for cooking and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Willingness to lead and inspire apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee one of the four kitchen sections and gain knowledge of the whole service.
• Support and mentor apprentices as part of our apprenticeship programme.
• Contribute to seasonal menus using local suppliers and homegrown produce.

Location: THE PIG - on the beach, Studland, Swanage, BH19 3AU

Salary: £13.71 per hour (OTE £16.01 per hour)

Hours: 40 hours per week, over 5 days

A Chef de Partie role at THE PIG is like no other. We use local suppliers within a 25-mile radius, our own homegrown kitchen garden produce, and a bit of love to create our menus, which change all the time. Our Chefs are passionate and above all driven to provide our guests with an unforgettable dining experience, creativity is what we do best.

As Chef de Partie you will oversee one of the 4 sections of the kitchen. You will have the opportunity to experience each section to gain knowledge of the entire service.

We run an award-winning apprenticeship programme, as a Chef de Partie you will take an active role in leading, teaching and inspiring the apprentices.

Our chefs are chatty people. They are always chatting about what is available and what is in season. Because of this, working for us is a very personal style of cooking. Our chefs come up with new ideas all the time!
