Schlegel Villages' Riverside Glen in Ontario is seeking a Chef to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing meals with care, ensuring food safety, and delivering quality resident-focused dining experiences.

The successful candidate will have Chef Training or Culinary Management Diploma, a food safety certificate, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. We value a caring attitude and resilience to meet the physical and emotional demands of the role.

The Village of Riverside Glen has an exciting opportunity for a Chef to join their team.

The hiring rate for this role is $24.56 per collective agreement/employee association agreement.

To be successful as our new Chef, you will:

• Be a graduate of Chef Training or Culinary Management Diploma from an accredited college
• Possess a food safety certification
• Be able to lift up to 35lbs
• Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
• Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Chef role

It would be an asset if our new Chef has:

• Acquired a Red Seal designation
• Possesses an understanding of therapeutic diets
• Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and best practices applicable to the retirement and long-term care sector
