Job summary

GT GROUP in Montreal is seeking a Chassis Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the fleet, diagnosing issues found during inspections and completing the necessary repairs.

You will join a hands-on truck maintenance team, performing inspections, brake work, electrical repairs, tire changes, diagnostics, and tests, with a focus on safety, quality, and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar work environment.
• Intermediate-to-advanced level of French.
• Known for your problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and ability to work within a diverse and dynamic team.
• Well organized with a strong sense of punctuality.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on chassis and trailers, including inspections, brake work, electrical repairs, tire changes, etc.
• Perform diagnostics, preventive repairs, and scheduled repairs.
• Test systems and components to isolate faults.
• Notify the Shift Supervisor of any additional repairs required.
• Operate and move equipment in and out of the maintenance facility for repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
