• CPA designation required for this role.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Canadian public practice firm with assurance and/or tax experience.

• Strong familiarity with Windows and office software.
• Working knowledge of CaseWare, Microsoft Office, Taxprep, TaxCycle, QuickBooks and Sage 50.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with a professional image in a business casual environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and accountability for client service and goals.

As a CPA, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and review of working papers for compilation, review, and audit engagements, including preparation of financial statements;
• Preparation and review of personal, corporate and trust tax returns;
• Preparation of tax planning and advisory projects;

The successful candidate will have:

• Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;
• 5+ years of experience in a Canadian public practice firm, including experience and training in assurance work and/or tax;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with all members of our team, clients, and others;
• Strong general familiarity with Windows computers and office technology;
• A working knowledge of various accounting software including CaseWare, Microsoft Office, Taxprep, TaxCycle, QuickBooks, and Sage 50 Accounting;
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and present a professional image in a business casual environment;
• Strong problem-solving ability;
• Commitment to client service;
• Accountability for goal setting and tracking; and
• Highly self organized.

This is an in person role in our office in Vernon, BC. The pay range for this role begins at $90,000, scaling upwards based on your experience. Benefits include extended health care plan including vision and prescriptions.
