Qualifications

• Plus de 5 ans d'expérience en géotechnique.
• Membre de l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• Carte ASP construction valide.

Responsibilities

• Exécuter des projets et préparer des livrables pour des études géotechniques.
• Planifier et superviser des investigations géotechniques.
• Rédiger des rapports géotechniques adaptés aux différents types de projets.

Key responsibilities

• Execute projects, calculations, and prepare deliverables for geotechnical studies of various scales in the energy sector (substations, power plants, transmission lines, wind farms, structures, pipelines, etc.) for major clients such as Hydro-Québec, RioTinto, Énergir, Boralex, etc.
• Plan, monitor, and supervise geotechnical investigations involving drilling, exploration wells, soil sampling, monitoring of well and piezometer installations, and in-situ testing.
• Draft specific safety plans (PSS) for construction work to identify risks and hazards, along with specific preventive measures.
• Coordinate and follow up on work activities.
• Work closely with various stakeholders (environment, hydrogeology, etc.).
• Process, compile, and analyze data.
• Perform simplified liquefaction analyses.
• Write geotechnical reports tailored to different project types.
• Monitor technical and administrative aspects of projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare service proposals including technical and financial aspects.
• Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules.

What makes you unique

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or geological engineering (master’s degree is a plus).
• Over 5 years of experience in geotechnics.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
• Construction ASP card.
• Autonomous, organized, and team-oriented.
• Excellent written and spoken French (English is a plus).
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Interest and sensitivity towards health and safety at work.
