Job summary

Wright Tree Service of Canada is seeking a Utility Arborist (CUA) to join our growing team. The role focuses on trimming, pruning, and removing trees around utility infrastructure using industry-standard safety practices.

As a Certified Utility Arborist, you will operate chainsaws, aerial lifts and cranes, train crew members in high-voltage safety, and maintain accurate records for regulatory compliance. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Certified Utility Arborist (CUA) certification required.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license, with air endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.
• Pre-employment drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Trim, prune, and remove trees or branches that pose a risk to utility infrastructure.
• Operate equipment such as chainsaws, pole saws, aerial lifts, chipper trucks, and cranes.
• Train and supervise crew members in safe practices around high-voltage equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of vegetation management activities.
• Document completed work for utility or regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and protect nearby habitats.
• Perform other duties as required.
