Job Opportunity: Occasional Teachers at Durham Catholic District School Board

The Durham Catholic District School Board is currently recruiting certified Catholic teacher candidates for the Occasional Teacher (OT) roster. New graduates pending OCT certification are welcome to apply!

Application Requirements
  1. Cover letter and resume;
  2. Certificate of Qualification/Interim Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers (in good standing). New graduates pending OCT certification are welcome to apply.
  3. A letter from your Roman Catholic parish priest on parish letterhead (dated within one year);
  4. Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector suitable to the Board (dated within one year);
  5. Practicum Teaching reports (minimum of 2) or recent teaching evaluations (for experienced teachers);
  6. Three professional reference letters or contact information (email and phone number);
  7. QECO evaluation, if applicable; and
  8. Any other related documents, such as Certificate of AQ Completion.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly with interview details. Successful candidates will be added to our list for immediate assignment opportunities. Long-term opportunities are also available.
