Job summary

Magna International's Presstran Industries division in Canada seeks a Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) to ensure safe, efficient production. The role requires inspecting, repairing and maintaining equipment, while supporting multiple projects and training apprentices.

Candidates should hold a valid Industrial Millwright license and bring hydraulics and press knowledge, with own tools. A proactive, safety‑minded mindset and teamwork are essential for this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Industrial Millwright.
• Equivalent to completion of specialized courses normally taught in community or Specialty College consisting of more than 2 academic years.
• Industrial experience including Hydraulics and Press knowledge are definite assets.
• Own tools required.
• Skill gained by experience.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, maintains, inspects, and modifies designated machinery/equipment.
• Notifies supervisor of parts/fluids for preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Participates in apprentice training as assigned.
• Completes PM as assigned by Supervisor.
• Ensures all guards are in place and safety equipment is used.
• Operates production equipment as required.
• Contributes to continuous improvement for productivity and quality.
• Follows safety programs and company procedures.
• Works well both in a team and independently.
