Certified Locksmith

Entry level (or Senior level with the right qualifications)
  • 80% field work
  • 20% reporting and administrative duties
  • Start date is as soon as possible
Job Requirements:
  • Technical background with industry training and certifications is REQUIRED for this role, or be able to challenge the certification exam.
  • Applicants must have prior locksmith experience to be considered.
  • Experience with door hardware is an asset.

What it takes to be considered:
  • “G” License with clean driver’s abstract.
  • Fit, capable of physical work in the elements with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to organize and maintain an orderly worksite.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a wide variety of customers.
  • Problem solver with a desire to help others.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Maintains awareness and learns new developments in industry technology.
  • Willingness to work overtime and be available on call as required.
  • Driver's abstract: A clean driver's abstract from the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) with no major infractions.
  • Police record check: A clear police record check with no criminal convictions.

Physical Demands:
  • Move, install, and manage heavy-weight materials (up to 50 lbs; manipulating items greater than 50 lbs with assistance)
  • Work on ladders/above head work; ascend ladders to work at heights (minimum of 12 feet)
  • Extensive stationary work, driving, and walking.
  • Frequent reaching, carrying, and grasping objects; repetitive motions.
  • Occasional transferring, maneuvering, placing, lowering oneself; exposure to weather.
  • Operate test equipment, machinery/AV equipment, hand and power tools.
  • Operate company vehicles; proof of valid G2 or higher-class Ontario Driver’s Licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Utilize a cellular phone to make or receive phone calls/text messages, send/receive emails, record job details, review schedules/technical drawings, update project notes, and record field data, etc.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour, depending on Certifications & Experience
Expected hours: 32 – 44 per week
