The Role

We are seeking a seasoned Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) Course Developer to lead the design and delivery of a comprehensive, professional certification course. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of teaching CRISC-related content and a strong background in IT risk management, enterprise governance, and information systems control.

As the course creator and lead instructor, you will collaborate closely with our instructional design team, creative professionals, and production crew to craft an engaging, practice-oriented learning experience that equips students to successfully pass the CRISC exam.

Responsibilities

Course Development & Instruction

• Design and develop a complete, exam-focused CRISC course

• Create and deliver:

  • A structured syllabus
  • Lab workbook and practice configuration tasks
  • Quizzes, flashcards, and full-length practice exams
  • MindMap-style review aids
  • Full recorded class sessions (on-demand or live-to-recorded format)

Instructional Standards & Collaboration

• Align your course to the CRISC exam blueprints and current industry best practices

• Collaborate with:

  • Slide and graphic designers
  • Copy editors and proofreaders
  • AI or automation specialists (where applicable for quiz generation or interactivity)

Engagement & Learner Focus

  • Translate real-world CRISC domains and frameworks into clear, accessible instruction for professionals across diverse industries
  • Emphasize practical application of risk management, control monitoring, and exam-focused strategies to ensure certification readiness
  • Apply instructional techniques grounded in adult learning theory, narrative structure, and engagement best practices to build compelling, outcomes-driven lessons

Qualifications

Required

  • Active CRISC certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, or related field (Master’s degree a plus).
  • 5+ years of prior experience teaching, training, or mentoring others in CRISCS course materials
  • Demonstrated success teaching or mentoring students in a certification prep context
  • Comfort working independently and proactively managing deliverables on deadline

Preferred

  • Prior experience designing online or hybrid certification courses
  • Familiarity with adult learning and instructional design best practices
  • Familiarity with common e-learning platforms and tools (e.g., PowerPoint, video recording tools)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in education or digital course production
