Job description

Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

Location: 9094 Cavanagh Road (Ashton, Ontario)

Heavy Equipment Mechanic repairs and maintains heavy duty equipment; responsible for diagnosis, repairs, assembles and disassembles on large equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Inspecting heavy construction equipment for proper performance and detecting faults and malfunctions
  2. Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
  3. Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools
  4. Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and ensuring that work meets manufacturers’ specifications
  5. Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment

Requirements:

  1. Must be a certified Red Seal 421A Technician
  2. 3 to 5 years of certified experience working on heavy equipment
  3. Passionate about working on heavy equipment
  4. Clean abstract required
  5. Mechanically inclined
  6. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
