Qualifications

• 3 to 5 certified years of experience working on heavy equipment.
• Passionate about working on heavy equipment.
• Clean abstract required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting heavy construction equipment for performance and fault detection.
• Diagnosing faults using testing equipment to determine repair needs.
• Adjusting and repairing or replacing defective parts with tools.
• Testing repaired equipment for performance and specifications.

Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

Location: 9094 Cavanagh Road (Ashton, Ontario)

Heavy Equipment Mechanic repairs and maintains heavy duty equipment; responsible for diagnosis, repairs, assembles and disassembles on large equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspecting heavy construction equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
• Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools
• Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers’ specifications
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment

Requirements:

• Must be a certified Red Seal 421A Technician
• 3 to 5 certified years of experience working on heavy equipment
• Passionate about working on heavy equipment
• Clean abstract required
• Mechanically inclined
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
