Wage Schedule: $35.930 - $41.370 per hour

This position is open to all qualified OPSEU staff throughout Lakeridge Health commencing 13 May 2025 and closing at 11:59 pm on 21 May 2025.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The EEG Technologist plays an essential role in the diagnosis of brain diseases, injury and tumours and is responsible for: performing EEGs and other electrocardiography testing, documenting, equipment monitoring, cleaning and maintenance; and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Registered EEG Technologist with current registration with the Canadian Association of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (C.A.E.T.);
* Previous EEG testing experience;
* Current BCLS;
* Ability to interpret and evaluate clinical data and information;
* Proven basic knowledge about the nervous system, the human anatomy and physiology;
* Proven ability must be able to work accurately and productively under stress;
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills;
* Effective keyboarding skills;
* Demonstrated computer knowledge of Meditech system; and
* Proven good organizational, prioritization and time-management skills;
* Knowledge of infection control principles and practices;
* Must be physically able to perform duties of lifting, bending, sitting walking and prolonged standing;
* Must have a satisfactory performance record;

* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service education sessions
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.
Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.
