  • Wage Schedule: $35.930 - $41.370 per hour

This position is open to all qualified OPSEU staff throughout Lakeridge Health from 13 May 2025 to 21 May 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities

The EEG Technologist plays an essential role in diagnosing brain diseases, injuries, and tumours. Responsibilities include performing EEGs and other electrocardiography tests, documenting results, equipment monitoring, cleaning, maintenance, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Registered EEG Technologist with current registration with the Canadian Association of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (C.A.E.T.)
  • Previous EEG testing experience
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate clinical data and information
  • Knowledge of the nervous system, human anatomy, and physiology
  • Ability to work accurately under stress
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Keyboarding skills
  • Knowledge of Meditech system
  • Organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of infection control principles
  • Physical ability to perform duties including lifting, bending, sitting, walking, and standing
  • Satisfactory performance record

  • Understanding of and commitment to safety programs and practices
Conditions of Employment

Employment is in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and OPSEU Local 348.
