Job summary

Passion Dental Group in Hamilton, ON is hiring a Dental Assistant at Level I or Level II to join our six clinic locations. You will support dentists with chairside care, patient education, and efficient practice operations in a friendly, patient-centered team.

We offer flexible scheduling (part-time or full-time) with clinic hours from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM weekdays and 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends, with compensation ranging from $24 to $30 per hour depending on certification level and experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program (Level I or Level II certification).
• Active HARP certification.
• 1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience preferred; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and comfort with dental management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Evening and weekend availability to support clinic operating hours.

Responsibilities

• Chairside Support: Assist dentists during a variety of routine and complex clinical procedures, including extractions, root canals, bone grafts, and implant surgeries.
• Patient Care & Education: Guide patients through their appointments, explaining post-treatment care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment procedures with empathy and clarity.
• Sterilization & IPAC: Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in strict compliance with infection control protocols.
• Radiology & Diagnostics: Take and process dental X-rays (for Level II / HARP certified candidates) and digital scans.
• Clinical Administration: Maintain accurate digital patient records, assist with inventory management, and support front desk operations with scheduling or patient intake when needed.

• Hours & Availability: Candidates must be flexible to work within the clinic's operating hours:

Monday - Friday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
