Job summary

Barrie Dental Arts in Barrie, ON is seeking a passionate Certified Dental Assistant/Registered Dental Assistant for a full-time position. The successful candidate will assist the dentist, prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient arrival, and help maintain a high standard of care.

Ideal candidates hold CDA Level I or II, HARP certification in Ontario, and knowledge of infection control. New graduates are welcome; ABLEDENT experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Certified/Registered Dental Assisting Level I or II.
• HARP certification (required in Ontario).
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control standards.
• Registered or in process of registering with the Ontario Dental Assistant Association.
• New graduates welcome.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude.
• Experience with dental practice management software such as ABLEDENT is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment assistance to the Dentist and prepare the treatment room and dental equipment/instruments for patient arrival.
• Support the team to maintain a smooth, efficient practice.
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards in the clinic.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients.
• Utilize dental practice management software such as ABLEDENT as needed.

The ideal CDA for our practice values playing their part for the team, to equip the Dentist through providing outstanding treatment assistance and preparing the treatment room and dental equipment/instruments for patient arrival.

SCHEDULE:
