Fort McMurray Catholic School Division requires certified teachers or teachers eligible for certification to substitute teach in the Division. A Substitute Teacher is a casual teacher of various subjects from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Being a Substitute is a great way to experience different classroom environments and work within a flexible schedule.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Manage students properly and minimize distractions while encouraging student participation.
• Be attentive to the individual needs of students, ensuring they understand the learning material and clarifying any questions or concerns.
• Supervise students in the classroom, school hallways, playground, and during breaks.
• Provide assignments based on the lesson plan designed by the regular Teacher.
• In case of a long-term role, develop lesson plans and assignments that coincide with the original plan designed by the regular Teacher.
