Job summary

SAIT's Continuing Education and Professional Studies seeks a Subject Matter Expert to modernize the Industrial Instrumentation and Automation learning pathway. The role centers on a comprehensive curriculum and market review, followed by recommendations and support for redesign of the Industrial Instrumentation suite.

The ideal candidate brings 10 years of relevant industrial experience across oil/gas, energy, manufacturing, chemical/process industries, process control, or mining, and will help

Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant industrial experience
• Significant recent experience in oil and gas, energy and power generation, manufacturing, chemical/process industries, process control, mining or other heavy industrial environments
• Experience leading curriculum/training redesign and awareness of emerging technologies

• Conduct a comprehensive curriculum and market review for Industrial Instrumentation
• Provide recommendations and support for redesign of the Industrial Instrumentation suite
• Collaborate with SAIT stakeholders to align with industry needs

We are looking for a SME who can help us move our Industrial Instrumentation Certificate from a traditional instrumentation curriculum toward a modern, industry-aligned Industrial Instrumentation and Automation learning pathway that prepares learners for both today’s workplace and the evolving industrial environment. The ideal SME possesses industry experience, technical leadership, curriculum/training experience and awareness of emerging technologies.

The engagement would initially focus on a comprehensive curriculum and market review, followed by recommendations and support for the redesign of the Industrial Instrumentation suite.

We are looking for an experienced industry professional with10 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably with significant recent experience in one or more of the following environments:

• Oil and gas / petrochemical
• Energy and power generation
• Manufacturing
• Chemical/process industries
• Process control
• Mining or other heavy industrial environment
