Job summary

CoFoMo Inc. in Canada seeks an experienced mainframe developer to lead end-to-end Cobol solutions from analysis to production. You will design, implement, and deliver applications in a mainframe environment, coordinating with stakeholders and guiding priorities to meet commitments.

Ideal candidates bring Cobol and mainframe expertise, Endevor and Zeke proficiency, and a solid grasp of Agile/DevOps with automation and production-support experience. Insurance industry knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in end-to-end application development in a structured environment.
• Strong knowledge of mainframe environments and Cobol development.
• Experience with mainframe tools such as Endevor and Zeke; log analysis skills.
• Understanding of insurance industry and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Mastery of Agile and DevOps practices including automation and production support.

• Good understanding of the insurance industry and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Mastery of Agile and DevOps practices, including automation, frequent deliveries and production support
• Leadership, autonomy and ability to bring several files to fruition
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
• Knowledge of Natural and Assembler languages is an asset
