Job summary

Fueling Brains Academy in Calgary is seeking a Center Director to lead daily operations, ensure high-quality programming, and uphold provincial regulations. You will oversee staff supervision, family engagement, and financial planning to deliver safe, engaging learning experiences for children aged 3-5.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Education or ECD, plus 2–5 years in licensed childcare leadership, strong communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to inclusive practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or related field from a recognized institution.
• Certification in center management or leadership is preferred.
• Additional training or certification in Childcare Management or Administration (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
• Monitor enrollment targets and collaborate with marketing to attract new families.
• Manage scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning for the center.
• Oversee developmentally appropriate, inclusive learning programs and activities.
• Ensure practices align with Fueling Brains' research and strategies.
• Supervise and mentor the ECE team, conduct performance reviews and coordinate training.
• Ensure adherence to childcare policies, safety protocols, and provincial regulations.
• Serve as main contact for parents, organize meetings and engagement events.
• Maintain licensing compliance and documentation, liaising with authorities.
• Maintain child-staff ratios and classroom maintenance, ensure safety.
• Manage day-to-day administration, payroll, and budgeting.
