Job summary

Mount Pleasant Group is seeking a Property Services professional to support operations at Elgin Mills Cemetery. You will handle interments, entombments, memorial installation, and grounds maintenance with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The role requires heavy equipment experience, a valid Ontario G license, and the ability to operate and maintain cemetery grounds and seasonal tasks, including winter maintenance. The position emphasizes teamwork and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario G driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Successful completion of Heavy Equipment Training program or equivalency test.
• Experience with grass cutting equipment and heavy machinery.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow management instructions for interments, entombments and memorial installations.
• Operate groundskeeping equipment to maintain cemetery grounds and structures.
• Perform winter maintenance including snow/ice removal and equipment readiness.
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment daily and report safety hazards.
• Assist with safety compliance and adherence to regulations at all times.
