Job summary

Solocrete General Contracting Ltd. in Brampton, ON is seeking a Cement Finisher to perform concrete finishing on construction sites. You will work on grade, formwork, and surfaces, ensuring proper compaction and curing while adhering to safety standards.

The role is on site with 38–40 hours weekly at a market rate of $44.00 hourly. No formal education required; 2–3 years of cement finishing experience preferred. Physical work and willingness to work at heights are expected.

Qualifications

• No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• 2–3 years of experience in cement finishing.

Responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials.
• Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures.
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces.
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
