Job summary

Alliance Forming Ltd. in Ontario is seeking a concrete finisher to perform finishing, cutting, coring, curing, sealing, and waterproofing across multiple GTA and Ontario sites.

You will work with a crew, follow technical specs, and operate hand and power tools. Lifting up to 50 lbs, with potential long hours including Saturdays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in concrete work.
• Technical knowledge of concrete properties.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools to smooth, level, and cure surfaces.
• Precision and attention to detail.
• Punctual and willingness to work long hours and Saturdays if required.

Responsibilities

• Concrete finishing, cutting and coring.
• Curing concrete and applying hardening and sealing components.
• Waterproofing, damp proofing and restoring surfaces.
• Repair, resurfacing and replacement of worn or damaged concrete sections.
• Checking, setting forms that hold concrete in place.
• Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues.
• Pouring, smoothing and leveling concrete using tools.
• Operate power vibrator to compact concrete.
• Install anchor bolts and steel plates in freshly poured concrete.

Job description

Wage:

$48.13 per hour + benefits according to Union collective agreement (full-time position)

Location of Work:

Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area and Province of Ontario

Job Description:

• Concrete finishing, cutting and coring concrete


• Curing concrete, apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces


• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces, balconies and other structures


• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures


• Checking, setting forms that hold concrete in place


• Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues


• Pouring, smoothing and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float and screed


• Operate power vibrator to compact concrete


• Install anchor bolts, steel plates in freshly poured concrete

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Physically demanding; bending, crouching, kneeling, etc.
