Job summary

CancerCare Manitoba is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to support the Cellular Therapy Laboratory. The role requires independent judgment, extreme accuracy, and flexible scheduling for days with extended hours as needed.

The successful candidate will process cellular therapy products, perform cell manipulation and evaluation, and ensure regulatory compliance under Health Canada, FACT, CSA, GMP standards and hospital SOPs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program with CSMLS certification.
• Licensed with CMLTM and CSMLS in good standing.
• Minimum three years of continuous full-time lab experience in cell therapy processing.
• Ability to manufacture cell products in a GMP cleanroom.
• Ability to perform repetitive bench work and lift up to 50 lbs when needed.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Process cellular therapy products and perform cell manipulation/evaluation.
• Carry out cryopreservation, thaw/wash, infusion, and enrichment or depletion as required.
• Handle cell storage, transportation, and environmental monitoring.
• Adhere to SOPs and maintain quality control/validation tasks.
• Participate in lab quality management and adapt to schedule changes.
