Position: Ceilings Sales Representative

Location: Quebec City, serving the Quebec / Atlantic region

This is a permanent, full-time role offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to showcase their sales and technical skills.

Position Summary

Are you interested in applying your design eye, building relationships, and influencing the selection of finishing materials? Reporting to the Associate Sales Manager Ceilings (Eastern Region), the successful candidate will promote, sell, and service our ceiling systems to distributors and contractors, becoming the region's ceilings expert. The role involves applying design, product, and technical expertise to promote CGC / USG’s full line of ceiling products, including Ceilings Plus products. Collaboration with the Architectural Commercial Sales team, key customers, and industry influencers is essential.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Grow sales and profit by building relationships and providing support to distributors and contractors, emphasizing customer loyalty through proactive contact, industry knowledge, product training, and prompt complaint resolution.
  2. Develop relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, owners, construction managers, and general contractors to increase demand for USG products and systems. Maintain and update project information in Salesforce.
  3. Influence project specifications during early design stages and collaborate with sales teams and internal departments.
  4. Promote targeted products and monitor competitive activity, working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Coordinate with internal teams including marketing, product management, manufacturing, design, distribution, customer service, and accounting.
  6. Travel within the Quebec / Atlantic region is required.
  7. Educate staff and customers on proper use of CGC Ceiling products, demonstrating expertise in products and application best practices.
Qualifications
  • At least two years of sales or interior design sales experience in building materials or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or related field.
  • Design and technical expertise; comfortable delivering CEU presentations.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Ability to identify decision-makers and build networks; active participation in industry groups is expected.
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual in French and English is required.
